Professor Mustafa Verşan Kök, Rector of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University (TJU), visited Kyushu University on 15 June 2026 and exchanged views with President Tatsuro Ishibashi, Executive Vice President Kenji Iwata, and senior faculty members and university officials.
During the meeting, the participants discussed ways to enhance collaboration in education and research and expand academic exchanges between the two institutions. The discussion covered a range of fields, including earthquake disaster science and information science.
As part of the visit, Rector Kök was introduced to the Integrated Disaster Response System for Municipalities (IDR4M) and related research activities in the field of disaster risk reduction.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and explore new possibilities for institutional collaboration. TJU and Kyushu University will continue discussions aimed at further strengthening ties and advancing cooperation between the two universities.
